accredited as the ¡°National Excellent Tourism City¡±.

10200 guest-rooms in Xiamen. The total number of hotels in
Xiamen is 340, providing 22000 beds, including 3 four or
five star-class hotels with 943 guest rooms. The total
capacity of hotel in Xiamen is 35000 people. It is complete
in all kinds of hotels, ranging from commercial ones,
holiday spending ones and airport ones. In 1998, the city
hosted domestic tourists 5.85 million person-time. The
volume of tourists from foreign countries, Taiwan, Hong Kong
and Macao is 483900, among top ten national tourist cities.
The total income of tourism industry is 7.55 billion,
contributing more than 17% in the city GDP.
