The Fair will still be sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) and organized by Fujian Provincial Government and Xiamen Municipal Government.

This session of the Fair will further place the investment promotion into the highlights and strengthen its function of providing a platform for investment discussions. The Fair will push the publicizing of the new policies to attract foreign investment, and stress on utilizing

foreign investment in the matching projects in the industries encouraged and supported by the state. It will also lay stresses on the Fair’s nationalization, the promotion of investment in Middle and West China, and the special feature of the economic cooperation across the Taiwan Straits.

A Business Negotiation Pavilion, a Foreign-invested Enterprise Technology and Commodity Pavilion and a Taiwan Pavilion will be established at the Fair. Global business people in fields of investment and trade, industrial enterprises, international economic organizations, investment promotion organizations, financial institutions, risk investment funds, intermediate organizations of enterprise merger, and representatives from the investment companies established in China by the foreign enterprises will be invited to attend the Fair for investment cooperation.

An ”International Investment Forum”, which is China’s most authoritative forum in the field of international investment strategies and foreign investment policies, will be held during the Fair.

State leaders of China, senior foreign government officials, famous scholars and leaders of international economic organizations and the executives of transnational corporations will be invited to make speeches on the forum.

On the basis of the successful experiences of the last sessions, and with all efforts to invite business people at home and abroad, to further publicize the event and to organize a successful international investment forum, the Fourth China Fair for International Investment &Trade will take the beginning of the ne3w century and operation of the new Xiamen International  Conference and Exhibition Center as and Exhibition Center as an opportunity to make itself the country’s largest and most effective international investment promotion event and upgrade4 itself into an international investment exposition by means o9f making new prominent progress on the exhibition arrangements and full range services.
